Wallace "Wally" Williams was born to a couple from the Arboretum who have never been to Madison natives who have never been to the campus but quickly drove there and spent their last gas and money to get there since his mother was in terrible pain from complications, so Wallace was born in Lorekeeper territory by c-section. Since they had no means to return home, his parents decided to stay since they had nothing anyways. Growing up, Wallace was always interested in the research the Lorekeepers were doing. There weren't many children his age that he could relate to so he was happy when Lorekeepers let him be their assist and errand boy. Since he didn't have many friends, he adopted many personality quirks from adults which made him a serious, bookwormish kid. When he was around 12, a member returned from an expedition with a few books about history, art, and fantasy, and Wallace was hooked. The idea that humanity needn't struggle for mere survival and instead focus on expanding and creating new knowledge for the betterment for everyone was firmly implanted into him that day. It was the day he officially joined the Lorekeepers as an apprentice.

In his teens, he began his apprenticeship by assisting senior members with research and by transcribing passages in books. During a break from his studies, he got bored from just reading his books so instead transcribed the book, twice. In one version, he rewrote the book as it was perfectly, and in the other he rewrote the book using simple-to-understand English to make history more approachable. Afterwards he began going on excursions with senior members to look for relics just outside of town, but in his very first outing, his squad was attacked by marauders, and although nobody was hurt, Wally asked Mitch Hopkins to teach him to fight with weapons. He never once blamed the bandits, because he knew they just needed to survive. If the world would have been like it used to be, those bandits could have been teachers or doctors. Now 23, he's still considered an apprentice but has his own tiny office in which to do his own personal research, although his studies are running a bit thin. With the permission from the higher-ups, he will leave UW-Madison to begin his own journey by himself. His first destination will be to Milwaukee's Lorekeeper headquarters to see if they have anything to offer him as well as bring back one of the steam weapons they make so that Madison could potentially make their own. He's heard rumors that there is tension between the two groups within the faction, but he hopes they'll treat him like one of their own.

Wallace is a staunch believer of the Lorekeepers' ideology. By uncovering past knowledge and sharing it with everyone, the world could go back to how it was: a world where people could live without worrying about hunger or rivaling factions, and instead put effort into expanding what we know to enrich lives instead of fighting over things that should never be thought after. Even for a Lorekeeper, his opinion is very strong, which is why he is demure and dislikes speaking. He is aware that his overly agreeable nature may be a negative, but his optimism is what keeps him going. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and is isn't a stranger to outbursts when his ideology is opposed.

At about 5'9 and 140 lbs, Wallace is a bit small for an adult male. Because he cuts his own hair, his black hair often looks terrible. Most often his outfit consists of dark jeans, a red flannel shirt, a gaudy puffy vest, and beige canvas bag filled with books, ledgers, and writing utensils.
